As
co-captain of the undefeated (9-0) 1969
Centralia High School football team
Danielwicz received many honors. The Evansville
Courier named him Southern Illinois
lineman of the year, as well as All-Southern
Illinois First Team Tackle and All-South
Seven Conference First Team
Tackle.
The Illinois Prep Sports Special
named him Second Team All-State at tackle
and he received all-state recognition from
the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago
Sun Times. He was also an
All-South Seven Conference selection in
1968.
Danielwicz has been involved in the
racquetball world for thirty years, serving
on the Illinois Racquetball Association
board for ten years. He received the
association's Distinguished Service Award in
1991.
In 2011 he was inducted into the Centralia
High School Distinguished
Alumni class.
