Donald Duncan
The Centralia Sports Hall of Fame
1985 Individual Award Winner

Duncan was one of the most versatile athletes in Centralia High School history.  He is one of the few athletes ever to reach state final competition in three different sports in the same year.

In 1962, he was a member of the Elite-Eight basketball and baseball teams and was state pole vault champion and fifth in the high jump.

He gained All-State honors in basketball in 1962 and was a starter on the 1963 basketball team that placed second in state with a record of 32-2.

After High school Duncan went to Centralia Junior College where he played on the 1964 team that finished 8th in the nation with a 28-3 record. He was named first team All-conference (SICC), and first team all-tourney at the NJCAA national tournament. He gained Junior College All-American status in 1965.
