Ron Johnson
The Centralia Sports Hall of Fame
1994 Individual Award Winner


 

Ron gained All-State and All-State Tourney honors as the leading scorer (581 points) for the 32-2 State runner-up Centralia High School basketball team of 1962-63. 

The 5’10” dead-eye shooter scored 18 points in the championship game which the Orphans lost 52-53. He also scored 477 points as a Junior (1961-62) when the team was 29-3 and made an Elite-Eight showing.

Johnson also won eight games as a pitcher for the 1962 CHS baseball team. That team was 20-7 and became the first team in school history to make the state quarterfinals. (See 1992 Honor Roll)
