Misty (Sprehe) Wright
The Centralia Sports Hall of Fame
2000 Individual Award Winner

It was no surprise that Misty received eleven varsity letters in girls athletics while attending Centralia High School. Her eleven letters at CHS came in basketball (4), Track (3), Tennis (2), Volleyball (1), and Softball (1).

Misty’s Freshman year (1977) created her most memorable moment as the basketball team placed fourth in the first-ever girl’s state basketball tournament. She would go on to be the first 1000 point scorer, accumulating 1100 career points, and had a single game high of 33.

While most notorious for basketball, Misty was a part of the CHS record setting mile relay team as a Freshman, and also long-jumped, high-jumped, and ran the 440. She participated on the first-ever CHS girl’s softball team in 1979. She received the Golden Annie Award from the Junior Women’s Club in 1979 and in 1980 was named Most Athletic Female at CHS.
